Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA)
Sharif Tax Firm is authorized by the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA) under an IRS agreement. This authorization permits assistance with eligible Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) applications and specified document-review and certification procedures within the scope permitted by applicable IRS procedures.
IRS Authorized e-file Provider / Electronic Return Originator (ERO)
An Electronic Return Originator (ERO) is an Authorized IRS e-file Provider that originates electronic submissions of tax returns to the IRS. ERO status concerns electronic filing and does not itself create unrestricted representation rights before the IRS.
California Franchise Tax Board Authorized e-file Provider
California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) Authorized e-file Provider status refers to participation in California electronic filing services. It does not imply endorsement by the State of California.
CTEC Registered Tax Preparer
California Tax Education Council (CTEC) registration identifies a California registered tax preparer. It is not a CPA, attorney or enrolled agent credential.
IRS Annual Filing Season Program — Record of Completion
The IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) Record of Completion refers to the IRS annual voluntary filing-season program for qualifying tax return preparers. It is not an enrolled-agent, CPA, or attorney credential.
California Tax Preparer Bond
“Bonded California Tax Preparer” refers to maintenance of the tax-preparer surety bond required for applicable California registered tax preparers. A surety bond is not professional liability or errors-and-omissions insurance.
Business Registration & Administrative Filing Assistance
Sharif Tax Firm provides tax-focused and administrative filing assistance involving EIN applications, DBA/Fictitious Business Name filings, California seller’s permits and CDTFA registrations, employer tax accounts, local business registrations, and applicable nonprofit and charitable-registration filings. These services are provided within the firm’s tax and administrative scope.
Fees & Engagements
Professional fees are determined according to the nature, scope, complexity, filing requirements, records, deadlines, and professional time required for each engagement. Government filing fees and third-party charges are separate unless expressly stated otherwise.
